about

THE ARTWORK

Chantal was commissioned to provide dedicated artwork for the show exploring classic books which are timely and timeless.

Her work for illustration projects related to Books has a very intimate history behind them.

Her enthusiasm comes from her passion for literature and her deep belief that books are part of the passing of human knowledge. She fully recognises the important role literature plays in our communities as a powerful artform for education and most of all the awakening of our imagination.

In here words

This is an important work for me, not only because it pushes my ability to create an image with very little space for error, but it is also a format where I can explore deeper, the blurred lines between the abstract image and a realistic one. Not only has the world of books been crucial in my own practice but an inspiration to my daily life, that is why I have treated this project with such care and respect. "
